Hey guys! I am in Malibu, California at the moment and I am having a wonderful time. The weather is perfect, the sun is shining bright and the beaches are full. I went to the ocean yesterday for a couple of hours and on my way home I realized that my hair had beautiful waves and a lot of volume. I love this look for the summer and the fact that it is a no heat hairstyle. If you won’t be spending your afternoon at the beach or you just want something quick and easy, this look is easily achievable at home with a few steps:
- Wash your hair with the Lush Seanik shampoo bar, which will give body and volume to the hair. This step is optional, but I would highly recommend it for people with straight hair.
- Take a spray bottle and fill it with warm water. Drop in 1-2 tablespoons of sea salt, depending on the size of your bottle and mix it until it is dissolved. The sea salt in the ocean is what gives you those beautiful messy waves that we want to recreate. Make sure not to put too much salt, since it can dry out your hair.
- Spray it on damp or dry hair, scrunching it as you go. You can even apply it to your roots for extra volume. Let it air dry.
- Apply a pump of Macademia oil ( or any oil of your choice) to the tips of your hair for a lot of shine and an amazing summery scent.
If you want more structured waves, take a few pieces that need to be retouched and curl some inwards and some outwards with a small curling wand. This will make this hairstyle more put together but still keep it looking effortless and messy.
There you have it, a simple way to recreate the perfect beachy waves without the beach.
